Datrontech has suffered a further brain drain after two more of it senior management team resigned. Richard Macaree, group logistics manager, and Graham Gilbert, corporate accounts manager, both left the firm last month.

The distributor has seen a number of key managers leave over the past few months, including Ray Peck, former managing director, and Jane Halloran, sales manager. A source close to the firm claimed that Macaree had become disillusioned.

The source said: "[Macaree] told me: 'Three years ago the business was open and honest. It had clarity of strategy and direction. Why has all this changed? Four executives in four months.'"

Speaking about Gilbert, a company representative said: "I can confirm that he has left. He was one of our top accounts managers."

Alex Tatham, commercial director of rival distributor Ideal, was not surprised at the situation. "If you keep changing your staff every five minutes what do you expect?" he said. "Datrontech is not strong competition for us any more. It is not even on the radar."
