Crossbeam supports Ecosystem
Ecosystem investment paves the way for new partners
Unified threat management (UTM) vendor Crossbeam has invested a seven-figure sum in automating its iBeam Partner Ecosystem technology, and is now opening up the system to potential new partners.
Throop Wilder, co-founder of Crossbeam, said: "Our service is about bringing together key security functions and giving our software partners and their resellers a way of injecting their functionality on to customers' existing networks without having to install another appliance. We have about 20 partners already onboard, but we are always looking for more."
Vendors already involved in the Ecosystem include Check Point, Trend Micro, Websense and ISS.
Nick Lowe, managing director, Northern Europe at Check Point, said: "The Ecosystem allows the channel to add value in terms of consolidating architecture, integration and issues such as licence migration."
Dave Ellis, director of e-security at distributor Computerlinks, said: "Crossbeam has taken the benefits of UTM to the enterprise and is offering ways to cut management and support costs, and reduce the amount of hardware used, without compromising security."
