Freedom prospers with project panoply

Watford-based VAR ties up a series of public and private sector deals worth more than £2.5m in total

Rolling in it: Freedom is targeting record revenues this year after grabbing £2.5m worth of deals recently

Comms reseller Freedom Communications claims it is on course for a record year after a cascade of contract wins worth a total of more than £2.5m.

The Watford-based firm has recently won a series of deals covering a variety of vertical markets, including law, healthcare and property. Customers include Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, North Yorkshire Primary Care Trust, Hanover Housing, Thomas Danby College in Leeds, intellectual property specialist Cambridge Consulting and law firm Stephenson Harwood.

The combined order total of these wins is more than £2.5m. The VAR, which claims to be Alcatel-Lucent's biggest UK partner, has deployed technology including IP telephony, unified communications, fixed mobile convergence and multi-media contact centres.

Pat Botting, managing director of Freedom, said: "In the current economic climate businesses both large and small are looking to reduce their IT expenditure without compromising on quality, functionality and service.

"This recent run of contract wins is testament to Freedom's approach, which is far from one-size-fits-all. We work with a range of preferred partners in order to deliver the most competitive of solutions designed to deliver tangible business benefits."
