Fujitsu perks up reseller sales staff
Vendor claims resellers need to make extra effort in slow summer period as it launches Fujitsu Perks
Resellers could bag a £2,000 trip to South Africa
PC vendor Fujitsu has launched a spiff incentive scheme to help individual staff at partners get through the slow summer period.
The Fujitsu Perks scheme awards points for either selling Lifebooks or registering deals involving the mobile PC range.
Some 2,000 points would allow a reseller sales person to bag a £2,000 trip to South Africa, although points can be redeemed on any number of products.
Ten points will be awarded for sales of higher-end Lifebook models (P, S, E and T), while sales of the entry-level Lifebook A will accrue five points.
Valid competitive quotes registered with the Fujitsu Bid Desk, for opportunities of over £5,000, will also accrue five points. This is the first time resellers have been credited for simply registering a bid.
Ian Leigh, channel marketing manager for Fujitsu UK & Ireland, said: “You only need to sell 200 laptops to win a £2,000 trip to South Africa, so if they can register and close enough good deals in time, there is a very real prospect that some reseller sales people could find themselves getting on a plane in the very near future.”
Packs of playing cards highlighting the key selling points of the Lifebook range will also be distributed. Some will feature bonus cards enabling the reseller to gain extra points in the Fujitsu Perks scheme and cash discounts off their next order.
The scheme runs until the middle of July.
“Summer can be a slower time of the year for product enquiries, so resellers need to make an extra effort to seek out opportunities,” concluded Leigh.
