Lisbon event 'a success'
MS talks up last week's Executive partner summit
Microsoft has hailed its latest European partner event as a success.
The software giant, which launched a new channel certification process earlier this year, held its Executive partner event in Lisbon last week.
Eric Gales, director of the SMS&P managed partner group at Microsoft, said: "This summit gave partners the opportunity to meet senior executives and network with each other."
Gales said the transition to the new partner accreditation was "going smoothly". He said: "Partners can be more focused on specific areas under our 11 different competency levels."
Des Leckerman, managing director of VAR Eurodata, said: "It was a good event in terms of networking, and Microsoft seemed more accessible than in the past."
