Traxdata focuses on flash
Storage vendor unveils channel push around its flash media products in response to decline of optical
Storage vendor Traxdatahas shaken up its strategy in response to the market shift from optical to flash media products.
The vendor plans to focus more on its flash products and add three new distributors and develop a partner programme by April next year.
Traxdata currently partners with UK distributors all4mats, dvdtech and mt-electronics.
Joanne Burgess, account manager UK and Ireland at Traxdata, said: “We are seeing a decline in optical with more customers choosing to save their data with flash product. People are saving their information differently and not many are using CD ROMs anymore, everyone is using flash memory like USBs.
“Due to this trend we are looking for the correct partners to work with and have plans for three more UK distributors to take our flash products to market – we also plan to sign two etailers as online selling has also become a big trend.”
Burgess said Traxdata is on the look out for new resellers, but the vendor will be careful to avoid partner conflict in each UK region.
Dominika Waliszewska, public relations and communications executive at Traxdata, said: “We are currently developing a partner programme, which will probably have three different levels, a selection of packages and marketing to support it, depending on the size of the business.
“Traxdata recently re-branded its products as our portfolio is very big. Under different product families, partners can now quickly identify the most suitable solution for the customer.”
