WLAN vendor makes presence felt in UK market
Wireless technologies continue to grow within the UK market space.
Wireless LAN (WLAN) vendor Aerohive is launching into the UK market and has hailed the emergence of 802.11n technology as an opportunity to ruffle the feathers of larger players.
California-based Aerohive recently opened its EMEA headquarters in Guildford and has already signed up seven UK resellers.

Aerohive were the architects behind NetScreen and they know how to build a company on the foundation of a channel model.
“It is the right time to enter the European market and 11n is a wonderful opportunity for a new entrant to start taking significant market share from the incumbents.”
Green indicated that Aerohive’s wireless products work without a controller, which differentiates them from competitors’ offerings.
He earmarked health, manufacturing and the public sector as key markets. “We already have double figures of UK customers and want to aggressively grow that,” he said.
