Seagate parts with executives
Blaser and Stewart no longer work for vendor
Seagate is staying tight-lipped on channel speculation that the sudden departure of two top-level EMEA executives was related to compliance issues in the Middle East.
The vendor has confirmed executive director of EMEA sales and marketing Hans-Dieter Blaser and EMEA channel sales director Alastair Stewart both “no longer work for Seagate”, but refused to comment further.
CRN understands that two of Seagate’s Middle East team have also left the firm.
Ed Bateman, business unit manager at Seagate distributor Bell Micro, said: “This will not effect the UK channel because Hans looked at things from an EMEA perspective while Alastair’s main focus was on Eastern Europe.”
