D-Link launches new partner programme
Vendor creates new strategy to bolster sales
Networking vendor D-Link has created a new partner programme to support sales of its switching, wireless and firewall products.
Partner +, which runs in the UK and Ireland, covers D-Link’s high-end xStack switching, AirPremier business wireless and its NetDefend firewall products.
Mats Brager, northern European area manager at D-Link, said: “The quality and commitment of our channel partners is of paramount importance to D-Link’s continuing success. We fully intend to support and reward them.”
D-Link said VARs that join the new programme will receive sales and help-desk support, marketing funding, technology-specific training and certification, and access to an online portal of sales tools and information.
“This programme is clearly defined to focus on market areas that will offer partners the best opportunities for growth in terms of revenue and profits,” Brager added.
The vendor also claimed that its Partner + programme, unlike those of its rivals, follows an untiered structure designed to recognise partners according to specific competencies. This is to support partners that have strong areas of expertise and can therefore offer the best service, and derive the greatest loyalty from their end-users.
Luke Steel, network business manager at D-Link distributor Enta Group, told CRN: “All partners will receive the same level of attention from D-Link [under Partner +]. Although the larger partners may not like being put with the smaller guys, I’m sure they will find some way around it.
“This sounds like a good programme. D-Link is working hard to protect its brand.”
