Changebase teams up with Symantec
Developer and software giant link arms in virtualisation space
Developer Changebase has teamed up with software monolith Symantec to offer its customers a software virtualisation compatibility product.
Changebase's AOK software platform will offer a test of the managed applications in Symantec's Altiris SVS (software virtualisation solution). The test aims to automate the manual work often associated with application management and enable IT managers to discover if applications are ready to be virtualised and report back within two minutes.
Changebase chief executive John Tate said: "Joining forces with Symantec means that the manual testing and quality assurance part of the process is now automated and even more accurate, with the additional benefit of speedy identification of any potential issues before resolving them. By using AOK with Altiris SVS, IT Managers can improve the effectiveness of their IT infrastructure."
Roger Raemaekers, regional manager EMEA for Altiris Software Management Solutions, said: “By using AOK, IT managers can build a case for how using SVS could improve the effectiveness of their next migration and how to budget for it.
The obvious benefits of combining these two technologies are there for all to see and customers can now benefit from choosing the software delivery model that works best for them and manage with confidence."
