Trend boss looks to SaaS
Software-as-a-service and small business markets are key targets for year ahead
Eyeing up SaaS: Trend thinks the hosted market is set to boom
Trend Micro’s new channel head has primed the small business market and software-as-a-service (SaaS) as key priorities for the year ahead.
Caroline Hodson is taking charge of channel sales and marketing in the UK after 15 months overseeing marketing functions for northern Europe.
Hodson said: “There is always the concern that when the economic climate is as tough as it is, the small-business market will suffer first. We saw a dip at the end of last year, but in the first quarter that segment of the market came back and it is a priority for us to keep that growth coming.”
Hodson also urged more partners to make the leap into SaaS, claiming that the hosted email market would grow eight times faster than the on-premise market over the next 12-24 months.
