Sony gets the Blues
Vendor will launch notebook with Blue-ray drive
Hardware vendor Sony is understood to be producing a Vaio notebook in July which will have a built in Blu-ray drive.
The 3.8Kg AR11S will come with a 17-inch screen, 200GB drive, a Freeview digital TV tuner, and Geforce Go 7600 GT graphics. Sony will claim its High Definaition Ready.
In the UK the machine will cost £2,000 with pre-ordered machines shipping in mid-June. Microsoft Windows Media Center is the operatign system Sony is shipping, while the chip will be Intel's Core Duo T2500.
