Caldera makes room at the top

SCO owner shuffles staff around.

Linux and Unix vendor Caldera is shuffling some of its senior management just months after completing its acquisition of SCO.

David McCrabb, Caldera's chief operating officer and former president of SCO's server software division, is set to leave, along with former SCO employees Nimer Maabadi, vice-president of worldwide sales at Caldera, Rona Fulton, general manager of developer products and services, and Alan Milligan, vice-president of engineering.

Tim Ashby, Caldera's executive vice-president of worldwide marketing, will also go.

Caldera acquired SCO in a $31m (£21.7m) deal, which was set in motion last summer and completed in May this year. Caldera then took on board a number of key SCO executives.

Caldera's UK partners appear untroubled. Jonathan Ellis, sales and marketing director at Open Computing, which was SCO's biggest UK distributor, said: "Our relationship is stronger than ever."
