PCWB appoints managing director
Interim managing director Jerry Roest given permanent post
PC World Business (PCWB) has announced today the appointment of Jerry Roest to the position of managing director.
Roest joined PCWB six months ago as interim managing director following the shock departure in May of managing director Derek Lloyd.
As managing director Roest will have overall responsibility for PCWB, Equanet, MacWarehouse, Inmac and MicroWarehouse in the UK. He will oversee a 2,000-strong workforce based at offices in Bury, Borehamwood and Surbiton, in addition to store-based business specialists in PC World Stores nationwide.
Prior to joining PCWB Roest was chief executive of Shazam Entertainment, managing director of NTL's internet and broadband businesses and was general manager and vice president for CompuServe in Europe.
Kevin O’Byrne, group finance director of parent company DSG International, said: "I am delighted to announce the appointment of Jerry Roest as managing director of PC World Business. His dynamic approach to management has already had a positive impact on the team and his experience will be invaluable in the next phase of our development of the business.”
