Specialist audiovisual distributor Maverick attracted around 50 invited VAR delegates to its first AV Academy event.
According to the distributor, the AV Academy’s aim is to provide resellers with an opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills under the watchful eye of audiovisual vendors and Maverick itself.
“The inaugural workshop and seminar event, at Maverick’s offices in Basingstoke, was a highly-focused event that provided resellers with the opportunity to hear from Promethean, Samsung, Epson and BenQ,” the distributor said in a statement.
“These companies gave detailed presentations on their latest solutions and roadmaps.”
According to the distributor, reseller feedback about the event was positive.
Phil Wilbraham, manager at education reseller Primary PCs, said in a statement provided by Maverick that it was good to have a number of vendors in one place rather than having to arrange four or five different meetings.
“As a smaller reseller it is not always easy to get to see the likes of Samsung and Promethean and being able to hear from them mean we can be more comfortable talking to customers about their solutions, and what’s coming to market next. It certainly exceeded my expectations and I would definitely go again,” he said.
