Computerlinks offers WLAN kit to resellers
Distributor offers resellers cut-price kit to become full Siemens WLAN partners
Distributor Computerlinks is providing its partners with wireless LAN (WLAN) kits to become full Siemens Enterprise Communications WLAN resellers.
Computerlinks became a Siemens Entreprise Communications partner in April, when the distributor added the vendor’s HiPath Wireless portfolio to its unified communications offering.
The kit includes a C20 controller, n and b/g Access Points and relevant cables and power supplies. Retailing at more than £10,000, the kit is available to Computerlinks resellers for £2,495.
A 90-day trial of Siemens’ HiGuard and Wireless Manager software is also in the mix, along with the option to purchase a three-day training course for one engineer and reseller sales training.
Carly Loveday, e-business product manager at Computerlinks, said: “HiPath Wireless has a highly flexible architecture and a number of features that make it extremely easy to overlay on top of virtually any wired network infrastructure.”
“The on-boarding kit now means resellers can quickly and cost-effectively deliver WLAN solutions to their customers.”
Computerlinks' e-business portfolio currently includes wired infrastructure products from Citrix, Ipswitch’s WhatsUp Gold monitoring system for wireless LANs and Juniper’s authentication products.
Graham Gilbert, solutions marketing manager for Fixed Mobile Convenience at Siemens Enterprise Communications said: “This is a prime example of how to add value to the channel as a distributor.
“This initiative means that Computerlinks resellers will have the ability to offer the most advanced WLAN technologies at a very affordable price, backed up by excellent support and training.”
