Freecom expands Ingram Micro partnership
Vendor reinforces relationship with Ingram through UK-wide distribution deal
The deal will see Ingram Micro and Freecom expand on their existing pan-European distribution partnership
Portable storage vendor Freecom has extended its distribution partnership Ingram Micro by appointing the firm to market its products within the UK.
The vendor, which already has a pan-European distribution agreement in place with Ingram, said the deal should help expand its reach within the UK SME market.
David Pye, UK channel manager at Freecom, said: “We’ve seen some significant successes already from our partnership with Ingram Micro elsewhere in Europe, and we’re sure we’ll be able to replicate this success in the UK.”
Ingram will be responsible for marketing Freecom’s range of portable external hard drives to retailers across the UK, with particular emphasis on the Apple reseller channel.
Mike Farrah, head of category at Ingram Micro, said: “These solutions should help us boost Freecom’s presence further in the UK, and will also enable us to further meet the secure storage needs of the small to medium-sized business market."
