Vistorm wins Nottinghamshire Healthcare contract
Managed security services provider to implement thin-client access solution
Managed security services provider Vistorm has won a contract to implement a thin-client access solution at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
The deal will see Vistorm implement a Citrix Client Access Gateway and Advanced Access Server solution at the Trust to improve internet and system access for its 6,500 staff.
Steve Wilkes, systems manager at Nottinghamshire Healthcare, said: “Vistorm was friendly and adaptable, it took time to understand our issues and was able to provide solutions at a realistic price. In effect, the Citrix solution gives staff ‘long fingers’. They can work as if they are in the server room itself, rather than miles away.”
Darron Antill, general manager at Vistorm, said: “Remote workers make up a significant proportion of the public-sector workforce. To make this a viable working practice, applications need to be secure and accessed simply from a wide range of locations.”
