IMC calls in receivers

Ascot-based distributor International Medical Corporation has gone into administrative receivership following poor financial results and declining sales.

Ascot-based distributor International Medical Corporation (IMC) has gone into administrative receivership following poor financial results and declining sales.

The company, part of the Rivacom Group, was established in 1989. It distributed Umax scanners and medical imaging equipment.

According to sources, IMC posted a loss of £948,000 for the financial year to December 1999.

Andrew Himsley, of Grosvenor Street-based Kroll Buchler Phillips, has been appointed as official receiver for the company.

No-one from IMC was available for comment.
