Intel promises extra funding

Further investment pledged to Premier Provider programme for top system builders

Intel is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its Premier Provider (IPP) programme, launched to support its top system builders, by pledging further investment.

The scheme, which has more than 1,400 members, will receive more funding for business development, advanced marketing tools and training, said John Bainbridge, Intel's UK and Ireland sales director.

"The channel is more important to Intel than ever. It is partners selling to SMEs that are growing fastest," he claimed.

Gordon Davies, commercial director at Compusys, said: "Five years ago our turnover was about £15m and now it is £45m. Intel is good at transferring knowledge to partners and helping them apply it to market dynamics," he said.
