Redstone hails organic growth

Voice and data integrator's turnover soars past £200m

Organic growth allied with the integration of acquisitions Comunica and IDN gave voice and data integrator Redstone's revenues a shot in the arm in its yearly results, published this week.

UK and Ireland revenue for the 12 months to 31 March was up 78 per cent to £200.7m with 14 per cent of the growth coming organically. Operating profit was £3.2m after a loss of £0.4m in 2007.

Redstone also indicated it had successfully integrated acquisitions Comunica and IDN and had won several eight-figure contracts including projects with the White City retail centre and two major US investment banks, including JP Morgan.

Redstone chief executive Martin Balaam said: "We are now seeing the benefits of the acquisitions emerging, with cross-selling initiatives gaining momentum and the increased capability and scale of Redstone enabling the Group to secure multi-million pound, multi-year projects.

“We are enjoying an improving profile and reputation in the ICT sector, giving us an excellent platform from which to proceed to our next stage of development, and we are further investing in our sales organisation in order to take full advantage of this.”
