TNS looks to buy in channel
Vendor looking to acquisition to develop indirect strategy
Electronic Point Of Sale (EPOS) vendor Transaction Network Services (TNS) is planning to use acquisitions to develop a UK channel.
EPOS technology involves recording sales by scanning products and is used mainly in the retail sector. TNS has acquired EPOS software vendor Comms XL, which already has an established UK reseller channel.
Alan Stephenson-Brown, business development director at TNS, said: “Comms XL has a reseller channel that we are looking to expand. Resellers working in government and the local authority sector are the most important to us.”
Wendy Dobson, sales director at Comms XL, said: “Retailers want to add value, not hassle, to their EPOS environment, so we’ll be talking to all of our customers about how they can combine the benefits of transaction and communications technologies.”
