RoboHelp vendor woos UK channel

US software vendor eHelp on the hunt for resellers.

US software vendor eHelp, which specialises in help and user assistance software for applications, intranets and the internet, is launching in the UK and is looking for channel partners.

The company claims that its products allow website developers, software developers and technical writers to create integrated online user assistance.

eHelp software includes RoboHelp Enterprise, RoboHelp Office and RoboInfo Enterprise, all of which will eventually be launched in the UK. International sales manager Geredith Gonzalez said that the firm is looking for UK resellers to help promote the first of its products, RoboHelp Enterprise.

"We would not exclude any resellers which express an interest in becoming an eHelp partner," said Gonzalez, adding that, despite its name, the product will probably appeal more to the small to medium sized enterprise sector.

Tony Lock, a senior analyst at Bloor Research, said the current economic climate is probably "not the best time to launch in the UK" but that "one selling point is the fact that the software will help companies save money through self help, and there is a market for this type of product".
