Jones starts in Synectics role

Former Integralis UK chief tasked with helping surveillance firm move towards a vendor business model

Jones: my job includes helping Synectics to become a vendor

Former Integralis UK head Graham Jones has started his new job as UK managing director of surveillance specialist Synectics.

Jones announced his intention to leave Integralis last month, days after it was acquired by Japanese telecoms giant NTT Communications (Channelweb, 8 July).

His new role will include identifying acquisition opportunities for Synectics, which is owned by parent company Quadnetics, and helping it to reinvent itself as more of a vendor than an integrator.

Jones said: “We have our own managed services offering, but also manufacture our own hardware and software. Quadnetics intends to become the leader in the surveillance system space in the next five years.

“At the moment most of our revenue is through managed services and integration, but my job includes helping it to become a vendor, away from integration. There will also be a lot of acquisition activity.”

Speaking of his decision to leave Integralis, Jones said: “The NTT acquisition took Integralis to a new level, and meant I was ready for a new challenge. I’m looking forward to this role. It is not going to be easy, but it is very exciting.”
