Stationery groups move towards consolidation
The British Computer Supplies Association (BCSA), and stationery and office supplies groups the National Dealer Association (NDA) and Instat have merged to create a 250-strong group called Integra.
The merged groups have a combined turnover of about #300 million.
BCSA CEO Bob Davies said the company would begin incorporating computer hardware into its product lines in the near future. He stressed that Integra would encourage small companies selling computer consumables to join.
?If these smaller companies have serious ambitions to grow we would welcome them on board so that individually we can ensure they are able to compete and expand in a competitive environment.?
NDA chairman Peter Emery said: ?The future ambitions of both NDA and BCSA members would be best served by this merger taking place. Our members now have the opportunity to expand the sales of computer consumables.?
