2e2 throws its hat in the UCS ring
Integrator becomes latest Cisco Gold partner to skill on vendor's server kit
Race for the prize: a number of Cisco VARs are gunning to be the vendor's leading UCS partner
Integrator 2e2 has expressed its delight at becoming one of a select band of VARs to be accredited on Cisco's server technology.
Cisco burst into the datacentre architecture space last year when it unveiled its Unified Computing System (UCS) range of servers and complementary technologies. Top-level partners have been quick to embrace the technology and propagate their credentials as the vendor's leading UCS VAR.
2e2 joins fellow Gold partners ANS Group, Logicalis, BT, Dimension Data and Computacenter as a UCS Authorised Technology Provider (ATP). The Newbury-based VAR has also been awarded Advanced Technology Partner status, allowing it to sell the Vblock product, which uses technology from Cisco, VMware and EMC.
2e2 claims its latest accreditations will allow it to cash in on end user demand for virtualised infrastructures. Nathan Marke, group chief technology officer at 2e2, claimed his firm would continue to build on its UCS expertise.
“We are delighted to have achieved the UCS ATP accreditation," he said. "UCS represents an important and innovative element of 2e2’s Flexible Infrastructure business architecture that helps us, our customers and our partners in building out efficient private cloud infrastructure."
