Horizon nets Extreme training accreditation
Distributor wins ENS certification
Distributor Horizon equIP has bagged a top training accreditation from networking vendor Extreme.
To gain the Extreme Networks Specialist (ENS) certification, the ambitious distributor had to significantly expand training and support capabilities for VARs and integrators, to offer ongoing support pre- and post-deployment.
As a result, the distributor has delivered more than 250 hours of training to its partners so far this year.
Laura Harman, business unit director at Horizon equIP, said: “Extreme has always been a key vendor for us, but we have not had the full accreditation behind us before. We have now become the most accredited Extreme partner in the UK distribution channel.”
Horizon is also the only distributor that can provide 24-hour Extreme support as a white-label service for selected partners, using its Technical IP Services (Tips).
“Tips is a key differentiator for us and we offer it to all our vendors,” Harman said.
She added the distributor would be targeting its existing partners with the training, but would also be on the look out for new ones.
Stephen Jamieson, channel sales director at Extreme Networks, said: “It is refreshing to see a distributor like Horizon equIP so willing to invest in developing its internal
capabilities and engineering skills.
“These skills are often outsourced, which can pose all manner of problems for the end user. Horizon equIP’s expertise will benefit Extreme and provide valued support to its partners.”
