Frazer is appointed as Baker moves to a new role at software giant
Gordon Frazer has been appointed the new managing director of Microsoft in the UK.
Frazer is taking over from Alistair Baker who was appointed to lead the UK business in March 2004. Baker is moving to a new role in Microsoft with details this expected to be announced in the near future.
Frazer will take up the position on 31st July 2006 re-locating from South Africa where he has managed Microsoft’s business for the last four years.
Jean-Philippe Courtois, president of Microsoft International and senior vice president of Microsoft Corporation said: "I’m delighted that Gordon has accepted the appointment to the UK. He brings with him exceptional experience of Microsoft’s business and a commitment to leadership excellence. During his time leading Microsoft’s business in South Africa, Gordon drove double-digit growth, effectively doubling the business.
