Centennial get down to business
Start-up company Centennial 2000 launched into the UK last week to capitalise on the confusion over the millennium bug problem. Formed by a group of developers from Digital Research and Novell, Centennial plans to sell a product that audits, tests, upgrades and monitors PCs. The product will work across the enterprise and on an ongoing basis.
VideoLogic loses Tony Maclaren, chief executive of VideoLogic, is leaving the company after 13 years. However, he will retain a one per cent stake in the operation.
Maclaren said he was unsure of his plans for the future but would like to write a book. The move came as VideoLogic revealed that its interim results were dogged by problems in the US. Meanwhile, NEC was increasing its stake in the company to 3.5 per cent from two per cent.
