Chris Gill leaves Oki Printing Solutions

Managing director decides to take early retirement

Chris Gill, managing director of Oki Printing Solutions, is leaving the company after 24 years to take up early retirement, CRN has learned.

Gill told CRN: “I’m going to be 60 in a few weeks and I’ve decided it’s a good time to give it all up. It’s almost the end of Oki’s financial year, so I’ll leave before the start of the new one.”

A statement from Oki said: “Oki Printing Solutions can announce that Chris Gill is seeking early retirement. While discussions are ongoing Chris Gill will be on gardening leave. This is in recognition of the years of outstanding contribution that Chris has given to the company.”

According to Gill, Phil Scrase, EMEA vice-president for supplies and consumables at Oki, has been appointed acting managing director.

Nick Culley, managing director of distributor Midwich, said: “We only found out last week that Chris was leaving. We’ve worked with him for at least the past 10 years and we have had a great relationship.”
