The Channel Awards: Industry votes with its feats
It is time for the annual PC Dealer Channel Awards. Now in its fourth year, this event has become a must attend, so put 25 November in your diary.
Voting forms for the awards? 14 categories are available from this week.
For the second year in succession, the voting will be audited by the Audit Bureau of Circulation. Voters are automatically entered in a prize draw and two fortunate winners will each receive a pair of tickets for the awards dinner.
The Channel Awards are not just a good excuse to meet business partners (and rivals) you may not see much of during the year, but also present an opportunity to win some of the industry?s most prestigious acco- lades voted for by your peers.
James Wickes, chairman of Ideal Hardware, which won Business Distributor of the Year, 1996, said: ?Winning the award has been a very effective boost to the morale of our staff in what has been a very hectic season. I can?t pretend that winning has added lots of money to our bottom line, but it was great for the company to know that the industry valued our efforts.?
Robert Stead, European marketing manager of Advanced Micro Devices, which is sponsoring the awards again, said: ?We are delighted to be associated and sponsor the Channel Awards once again.?
The Channel Awards will be held on 25 November at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. The 14 awards will reflect achievements within the industry.
