Dabs boosts marketing team
Recently acquired online reseller appoints new team members
Online e-tailer dabs.com has strengthened its marketing team by creating three new posts specifically to focus on online marketing.
The firm, which was acquired by BT earlier this month (CRN, 1 May) has promoted Michelle Helme to head of online marketing. Helme previously worked in Dabs’ marketing and product merchandising teams. Her role will be to improve Dabs’ yield of new customers from online sources and focus on improving return on investment through results analysis.
David Ryder has also been appointed as online marketing assistant and the firm is also planning to appoint a second executive in the coming months to focus specifically on search engine optimisation.
Jonathan Wall, marketing director at Dabs, said: “As an internet retailer, online marketing has of course always made up a significant proportion of our overall mix. However, Michelle's promotion, combined with the recruitment of two new online-focused marketers will allow us to better exploit opportunities in this area and really drive sales conversion from online sources".
