Calyx has completed the installation of a new IP telephony system at the Heart of England Co-op headquarters in Nuneaten.
Under the terms of the deal Calyx installed a Mitel 3300 system run over an Extreme Networks LAN, which the VAR claims will enable the firm to respond to customer calls more quickly and effectively.
Anne Watson, IT manager at the Heart of England Co-op, said: “Our receptionists are now able to direct calls more efficiently, which means that queries can be routed and dealt with by the right member of staff. We have also been able to significantly reduce the number of outgoing lines.”
Dave Everest, sales director at Calyx, said: “The Mitel 3300, running over an Extreme Networks LAN was the perfect solution for the Co-op’s headquarters. A telephony system which provides improved functionality was essential for its needs and this new system is future-proofed for new users and increased functionality if required.”
