Viglen strikes NetApp Gold

VAR and system builder secures Gold partnership status with storage vendor

Viglen: The partnership will help its customers save 62 per cent through faster backup times

Viglen has passed the stringent requirements to earn NetApp Gold Partner status.

The VAR and system builder scored high marks in technical and sales training and will give NetApp a further leg up in the education and public sector markets.

Viglen claimed that by incorporating NetApp technologies it will be able to reduce its customers' total cost of ownership by up to 62 per cent through faster backup times, proven business continuity offerings and its experience in the sector.

Bordan Tkachuk, chief executive of Viglen, said: "NetApp has identified Viglen as one of its principal partners, and this reflects how we, a British manufacturer and provider, compete with the large international players.

"There has been a lot of hard work gone into achieving this accreditation and I anticipate that it will strengthen our storage and data management portfolio for the benefit of our customers.”

Paul Wooding, head of public sector at NetApp said: “Working with Viglen allows NetApp to deliver key storage and data management solutions into the education and public sectors. We recognise the potential cost savings these customers can achieve."
