Computerlinks appoints new head of UK e-business division
David Caughtry in to strengthen the distributor's business infrastructure offering
Specialist distributor Computerlinks has appointed David Caughtry as head of its UK e-business division
The distributor, which changed its name from Unipalm earlier this year to align the UK business under its global brand (CRN, 5 June), intends to strengthen its business infrastructure solutions offering.
Caughtry, who has worked at Computerlinks for five years mainly in the security side of the business, will be responsible for signing up new partners and vendors in the UK.
“We’re well known as a security specialist,” Caughtry said. “I intend to strengthen this by building a strong e-business division capable of delivering infrastructure solutions that complement our security offerings and create secure network environments.”
He added that his key focus areas will be voice over IP, mobility and convergence, and that the distributor already has several new vendor signings in the pipeline.
