Northgate goes to Lisburn
VAR wins three-year contract to help Northern Ireland-based council improve environmental services offerings to its citizens
Bullish VAR Northgate Information Solutions has secured a three-year contract to supply Lisburn City Council with a new environmental services offering.
Under the terms of the deal, Northgate will provide Lisburn with its building control, land charges and gazetteer applications, as well as a range of online, integration and mobile tools. Northgate claims the council will be able to deliver improved environmental services to its citizens by reducing administration, streamlining business processes and improving access to information.
Councillor William Leathem, chairman of Lisburn City Council’s planning committee, said: “Our aim is to assist in the creation of a safe and accessible built environment. We are committed to meeting the needs of our customers as part of this process.
"This means providing staff and citizens alike with improved access to information to enable faster, more accurate and more efficient service delivery. We are delighted to be working with Northgate to deliver these improvements and in order to achieve the best results for our people.”
Russell Osborne, managing director of land and property at Northgate Public Services, added: “Councils across Northern Ireland are collaborating with Northgate to enable their staff to deliver high quality services that are responsive to the evolving needs of their citizens – particularly as they face the challenges of the Review of Public Administration. We are delighted to be working in partnership with Lisburn City Council, and providing our land and property solutions as part of their drive to deliver first class public services.”
