Pat Dunne is parting company with Websense after two years heading up the security vendor’s UK and Ireland business, CRN has learnt.
According to channel sources, Dunne has already vacated his post as senior director for UK and Ireland as Websense restructures its global business.
He joined Websense in that position in September 2007 from rival anti-virus vendor Trend Micro.
During his tenure, Websense made far-reaching changes to its UK distribution strategy, axing DNS Arrow and incentivising distributors to focus on SME business.
A statement from Websense read: “We regret to advise that Pat Dunne... will no longer be with the company going forward and we are actively recruiting a vice president for our UK sales.
"Pat has managed the UK sales over the past two challenging years during which time Websense has undergone significant change. We would like to thank Pat for his contribution and we wish him every success in his future career.”
