Monitor woes strike Relisys
Vendor continues warranties despite administration worries
The monitor arm of display vendor Relisys has gone into administration, with PKF appointed as administrators on 12 January.
As CRN went to press, Relisys’ parent company, Relitec Holdings, issued the following statement: “Relitec Holdings can confirm that the monitor arm of Relisys has been placed into administration. Relisys Digital, the audiovisual arm of Relisys will assume warranty liabilities. It is a case of business as usual, just without monitor sales.”
The statement said a group reorganisation was deemed necessary by Relitec Holdings in order to divest the monitor business so that the company “can drive forward the business, increasing our market share”.
Keith Warburton, executive director at the PC Association, said: “We’re delighted that Relisys has acted in such a responsible manner by organising continuance of warranties.”
