InMage expands its reach with 2e2
The vendor plans to reach across Europe, the UK in particular
Chuck Lucci: Will continue to seek partners to take advantage of virtualisation business
Continuous data protection vendor InMage has partnered with integrator 2e2 as part of its ongoing UK expansion plans.
Unveiling the agreement at Storage Expo earlier this month, the business continuity and disaster recovery software vendor told CRN of its plans to expand across Europe, and the UK in particular, with 12 new partners already in the pipeline.
Chuck Lucci, vice president of EMEA sales at InMage Systems, said: “We are expanding our footprint in Europe and this partnership will support that. We have two staff dedicated to the UK and in the next few months that will expand to six.
“InMage will continue to seek partners because the challenge with virtualisation consolidation is that there is not a lot of information about it – there are lots of firms that know about storage, but not as many that know about virtualisation and the applications around it,” he said.
Under the terms of the agreement, 2e2 will sell InMage’s DR-Scout software. In the event of a disruption or disaster, applications will fail automatically, but they can be returned by just the click of a button to reduce the
disaster recovery times, InMage claims.
Gill Borniche, director of international marketing at InMage’s French office, said: “We have a UK office and as we expand there will be more sites. We also plan to sign a distributor eventually.”
In a statement, Richard Ellis, sales director at 2e2 UK, said: “In today’s business environment, many factors such as rapid data growth, shrinking backup windows and regulatory compliance pressures are driving the need for products such as DR-Scout.”
