I.T. Alliance injects £1m into UK expansion

Irish outsourcing firm hires former employees of HP, Vistorm and Kelway as it sets sights on building €100m business

Cash pile: I.T. Alliance claims it is investing big in UK market

Ireland-based outsourcing firm I.T. Alliance is ploughing almost £1m into a UK expansion drive that has seen it take on former staff from HP, Vistorm and Kelway.

The Dublin-based firm serves outsourcing providers themselves and is keen to capitalise on the recent uptick in business it claims its clients are seeing. Services offered include project management, IT service management and infrastructure technologies.

The 400-strong firm has set itself the target of increasing revenues fivefold to €100m (£88m) over the coming years, with the UK primed as a key growth market.

To aid its UK assault, I.T. Alliance has enlisted former HP UK director of public sector sales, Tim Shaw, to the post of UK projects and consulting delivery manager.

Former Kelway account director, David Senior, and former Vistorm account director, Nigel Rix, have also come on board as UK account managers.

Philip Maguire, chief executive of I.T. Alliance, said: “The world’s leading outsourcers also need to outsource for the same reasons that major corporations do, including cost and flexibility.

“As a result of the global recession, many of them reduced or put a freeze on resources but now need to ramp up quickly in response to the recovery in the UK and global economies. We are ideally positioned to provide the services required to fulfil their needs.”
