Viglen polishes up green credentials

PC builder's environmental drive continues as it gains ISO 14001 certification

Small footprint: Viglen claims ISO award reflects commitment to environment

Viglen is donning its green hat after achieving a certification that recognises its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint.

The PC builder and VAR announced it has secured the ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management Systems.

It pointed out that the award builds on existing eco-friendly internal processes, including a campaign to use recyclable materials which has seen Viglen’s recycling almost treble from 34 tonnes in 2007 to 93 tonnes in 2009.

Bordan Tkachuk, chief executive of Viglen said “Organisations rely on their IT partners to increase their access to cost-effective, sustainable IT solutions.

“At Viglen, eco-responsibility is a key part of what we do and we are committed to spreading best practice among our customers. We are delighted that our ISO 14001 certification recognises our ongoing commitment to our customers and to the environment.”
