Updated: Vistorm close to unveiling new boss

Replacement for recently departed Darron Antill will be announced next week

Antill: My goal is to continue AppSense's double-digit growth

Giant security integrator Vistorm has revealed it will unveil a new chief executive next week following the departure of Darron Antill.

After two years in the hotseat, Antill left Vistorm at the end of March to join virtualisation vendor AppSense. He joined Vistorm seven years ago as sales director and oversaw the firm through its 2008 acquisition by EDS and subsequent integration into HP.

Vistorm chairman Stuart Bladen has been acting as chief executive while a permanent replacement was sought and the firm is set to announce Antill's successor next week.

Stuart Noad, marketing director at Vistorm, said the VAR had known about Antill's plans since December.

"Over the last 12 months, Vistorm has grown at three times the rate of the information security market and we look forward to announcing a new chief executive next week," he said.

In his new role as chief operating officer at AppSense, Antill has been tasked with spearheading the virtualisation software vendor’s North American growth push.

Antill stated: “My goal as AppSense's chief operating officer is to continue to double the company's growth year over year while ensuring our customers and partners receive the best services and support to assist them in effectively managing their user environment.”

AppSense chief executive Charles Sharland said: “The relocation of several members of our management team illustrates how focused we are on increasing our presence in the US and the incredible market demand we are experiencing.”
