Fujitsu to merge with PFU
Move is designed to focus resources on imaging sales
Fujitsu Europe, with German and Italian subsidiaries, is merging with its scanner manufacturer PFU in a move it says will concentrate its resources on EMEA imaging sales.
The new company has been named PFU Imaging Solutions Europe and will be dedicated to maximising the market for Fujitsu brand scanners throughout EMEA.
Fujio Wajima, president and representative director of PFU, said the plan was to increase the potential cost savings and other business benefits for using Fujitsu scanners.
“By unifying all worldwide sales and marketing functions within PFU, we will be able to focus all our resources on ensuring we meet our customers’ requirements efficiently and effectively,” said Wajima.
Also a Fujitsu subsidiary, PFU has designed, manufactured and marketed Fujitsu scanners for 20 years. The EMEA headquarters will remain in Hayes, Middlesex.
The announcement follows a programme expansion for its scanner partners, launched in October.
