Brent lures resellers with clone promises

Hertfordshire-based notebook assembler Brent Computer Group is looking for a network of around 40 to 50 resellers for its range of clone notebook PCs.

Mark Ray, Brent's recently appointed product manager, said: 'We're looking to develop strong working relationships which go beyond the standard business partnerships.'

Brent's notebooks come with a standard 12-month collect and return warranty which the company feels will distinguish it easily from other vendors.

Ray said: 'When you consider that so many brand-name notebooks are made in Taiwan by someone else and then rebadged, we feel we can compete effectively with anyone. There's plenty of brand names inside our machines, that's where it counts.'
