Good time for FaceTime
Security vendor FaceTime Communications has announced a 250 per cent increase in turnover for its third quarter ended 31 July 2005. The firm has claimed this increase was driven by accelerated customer adoption for its compliance and security solutions for the management and control of greynet applications.
Gem has the Ability
Software vendor Ability Software International has signed an agreement with retail distributor Gem Distribution to push sales of its Ability Office software in the UK. Gem currently delivers to over 4,000 UK stores every week including Amazon and PC World. The move forms part of Ability’s expanding channel strategy, the firm claimed.
Reducing the Human cost
SSA Global has launched SSAHuman Capital Management 2.0, which it has claimed helps firms to reduce costs and improve productivity. Companies are able to better connect managers and employees in real-time through strategic self-service and talent management capabilities, as well as using the software to automate core administrative processes, SSA claimed.
LANDesk’s new suite
Security vendor LANDesk Software has launched LANDesk Security Suite 8.6, the latest version of its software aimed at managing systems and end-node security across enterprise organisations. The firm has also released new versions of its flagship LANDesk Management Suite and LANDesk Server Manager products.
CSA puts on Red Hat
Open Source specialist Red Hat has revealed that Hewlett-Packard specialist reseller CSA Waverley has joined the Red Hat Advanced Partner Programme in Europe. As an advanced partner, CSA Waverley will be able to offer Red Hat’s entire portfolio of Open Source solutions.
Three more for Alcatel
Alcatel has recruited three new partners to add an applications focus to its channel. Avanquest, European Technology Consultants and ProtoCall One will support and complement the skills of Alcatel’s existing channel partners to bring further benefits to customers, the firm claimed.
