Infoblox wants VARs to become ID driven
Vendor wants resellers to take advantage of growing trend towards ID-driven networks
Network identity appliance vendor Infoblox has urged VARs to take advantage of the growing trend towards ID-driven networks.
The vendor, which specialises in the management and protection of Domain Name Service and Remote Access Dial-In User Service (Radius), last week launched a software package for its appliances: the Network Services for Authentication. This allows enterprises to deploy Radius across multiple remote sites, which cuts costs and ensures the security and availability of wireless networks for extended enterprises, Infoblox has claimed.
Speaking to CRN, Stuart Bailey, chief technology officer at Infoblox, said: “Data-intensive support services are undergoing new requirements over standard applications. With most IP networks, firms can connect quickly, but they are insecure so there is a shift towards ID-driven networks. This is where our channel comes in because most enterprises need help with planning and assessment before adopting ID network technology. We see a real opportunity in this market.”
Adrian Young, UK country manager at integrator Integralis, an Infoblox partner, said: “It is a real conundrum for us because this is a case of networking meeting security on the edge of a network. Because we focus on security, we see Infoblox products as a secure infrastructure offering and we find it to be one of the best door openers to new business. There is nothing quite like the technology elsewhere on the market.”
