Barlow heads PCWB sales
Reshuffle will see former Equanet head take over sales role at combined company
Paul Barlow, former managing director of Equanet, has been appointed group sales director at PC World Business (PCWB), following its purchase of Equanet last year.
CRN understands that the move will see Barlow responsible for sales at both Equanet and PCWB, including its bases in Borehamwood and Berry. Sources close to the company believe a site manager is being appointed to Equanet, and there is no vacant managing director position at the firm. “This goes to show how far PCWB has got with integrating Equanet, the amalgamation must be going well,” one source told CRN.
Ian Snadden, director of channel and SME sales at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, said the move would be a good one for PCWB.
“This is a strong endorsement of the way Paul managed Equanet and the values that PCWB bought. We are hopeful that the move will help Fujitsu. We have a good relationship with Paul and a high-level relationship with both PCWB and Dixons Group and hope to build on this.”
Barlow and PCWB were unavailable for comment.
