Dimension Data consolidates in Europe

VAR claims consolidation does not change strategy

Dimension Data has begun a process that it has claimed will result in the amalgamation of its UK and continental regions to form a one overall European region, known as Dimension Data Europe.

Russell Bolan, currently chief executive of Dimension Data UK, will assume a new position as chief executive of Dimension Data Europe.

Max Müller, formerly chief executive of Dimension Data Continental Europe, has decided to leave the company as part of the restructure.

Bolan joined Dimension Data in April 2002 and has over 20 years experience working in the IT industry with a proven track record in managing profitable businesses that operate within a global environment.

Dimension Data said in a statement: "The rationale for the amalgamation of the two regions is not an exercise in cost savings but rather an organisational restructure which will now be aligned with the needs of our clients. Our strategy has not changed, our vision has not changed."
