RES Software bags more VARs

Workspace management vendor expands partner network with slew of new signings

Khan: Wants to turn interest in desktop virtualisation into real deployments

Workspace management vendor RES Software has recruited a clutch of new VARs, bringing its UK partner tally to 20.

VARs Prolinx, Bytes Technology, Strategic Technologies and Orange Information Systems Group have all recently signed up with the vendor to help market its flagship offering PowerFuse.

The product helps organisations to centrally manage their physical and virtual desktop environments, and ensures users have the same personal desktop settings, regardless of where they log in from.

According to Ronnie Khan, UK country manager of RES, with the company’s software forming a “critical part” of any desktop virtualisation implementation, its new partners would be well placed to take advantage of the technology’s growing popularity.

He said: “We are seeing significant interest in the channel around how to turn desktop virtualisation from a nice-to-have into a must-buy technology within customers.

“We are looking forward to working with these new partners to turn the interest in desktop virtualisation into real deployments.”

Mike Wheeler, commercial director at Prolinx, added: “With RES Software, we can make the process of moving those customers through the proof of concept [of desktop virtualisation] and user acceptance phases faster and easier.”
