Aimtech makes indirect move for low-end market

Authoring systems provider Aimtech is moving from a direct to an indirect sales model in order to join the fray in the low-end tools market.

The software firm is touting for dealers which focus on government, health care, education, financial vertical markets, and those which are based in the North West and North East.

Peter Kelly, MD at Aimtech UK, said: 'The channel will help us get extra penetration to cover the low end of the market. We hope to sign 20 dealers by Q1 next year and will work with them for several months to get them up to speed.'

The low-end multimedia authoring tool Iconauthor SE will ship this month and will be priced at u995. Iconauthor version 7 sells for u3,295.
